Locally sourced Halal
For families in New England, finding halal meat you can genuinely trust has always been harder than it should be. Five Pillars Butchery changes that. We offer retail cuts, seasonal offerings, whole and half animal shares, and custom order services — all sourced from local New England farms and processed at our USDA-inspected halal facility in Unity, Maine.
All pricing is provided upon inquiry. We believe in honest, transparent pricing conversations, not price lists that don't account for your actual order. Contact us to place an order or ask a question.

Whole and half animal shares.
For families who want to stock their freezer with a season's worth of halal meat, we offer whole and half animal shares. Purchasing a share gives you a larger quantity of meat at a better value per pound — and the satisfaction of knowing exactly where your meat came from and how it was processed.
How it works
Choose your animal — beef, lamb, or goat
Choose your share size — whole or half animal
We process your share at our USDA-inspected halal facility
You receive your order vacuum-sealed, labeled, and ready for the freezer
Custom cut instructions available — tell us how you like your meat butchered
What to expect
A whole beef animal yields roughly 400–500 lbs of packaged meat. A whole lamb yields approximately 25–35 lbs. Exact yield varies by animal size and cut specifications. We'll discuss expected yield and timeline when you reach out.

Seasonal services
Several of our most important offerings are tied to the Islamic calendar and seasonal availability. We plan production around these events, but quantities are limited, and reservations fill quickly. Reach out early.
Qurbani — Eid al-Adha
Qurbani is one of the most meaningful acts of worship during Eid al-Adha — the sacrifice of an animal in the name of Allah, with meat distributed to family, neighbors, and those in need. Five Pillars offers Qurbani slaughter and processing services for Muslim families who want to fulfill this obligation locally, with full halal compliance and transparency about exactly how their sacrifice was performed.
Cattle, lamb, and goat Qurbani available
Hand slaughter with individual blessing — authentic Zabiha practice
Processing and packaging included
Distribution assistance available for families donating a portion to the community
Reservations required — limited slots available each year
Aqeeqah — Birth Celebration
Aqeeqah is the Islamic tradition of sacrificing an animal to celebrate the birth of a child — a sunnah practice expressing gratitude to Allah. Five Pillars offers Aqeeqah slaughter and processing for Muslim families, with the same authentic halal practices we bring to every animal we process.
Lamb or goat Aqeeqah — two animals for a boy, one for a girl (per sunnah)
Hand slaughter with individual blessing
